I first met Karen
Kendik when she came to take some family photos for us for
my mother’s birthday a couple of years ago.
The photos turned out so beautifully that when planning
our wedding last year I asked Karen if she would be
interested in taking our wedding photos – luckily she said
yes – as the photos have probably been one of the
highlights of our wedding.
Our main requirement, having stood through many painful
photo sessions at weddings, was that we really didn’t want
the guests to know that there were photos being taken, and
certainly didn’t want everyone hanging around for hours.
Karen made everything so easy and relaxed. She came to the
church beforehand so that we could plan exactly what
photos would be taken where, when and of whom. Karen then
came to the full rehearsal a couple of days before the
wedding so that she could meet the vicar and plan exactly
the right shots on the day.
On the day, Karen arrived at the house and took all the
photos she needed, then went off to photograph the groom,
family, ushers etc and then the church and the receptions
venue. Everything was done so calmly and so professionally
(and even more importantly with wonderful humour!!). I
think the formal photos after the ceremony probably took
about 20 minutes!!
The results were amazing – I realise we are biased but I
think I can honestly say we have one of the most stunning
wedding albums I have ever seen (these thoughts are echoed
by everyone who’s seen it). It is a perfect blend,
capturing the formality but also the natural warmth and
happiness of the day – it really is everything we wanted
and more.
I couldn’t recommend Karen highly enough to anyone who
might be thinking of using her in the future.
